Lake Niepruszewskie — facts

A post-glacial ribbon lake in the Warta basin, in the municipalities of Dopiewo and Buk (Poznań County, Greater Poland Voivodeship), about 7 km east of Buk. Fed and drained by the Samica Stęszewska river.

Why we act

The catchment is largely agricultural, which favours nitrogen and phosphorus runoff and progressive eutrophication. In August 2022 an oxygen-depletion event killed over 400 kg of fish. That is why we focus on water monitoring, catchment protection and education.
